Roots Systems key Russian Project - June 2009

After a long tender negotiation Roots Systems have been awarded a major contract for the supply of two natural gas compressors for the Vankor oil and gas field in eastern Siberia.

 Each compressor package is rated at 500 kW, weighs 80 tonnes and will be constructed to operate in the harsh and corrosive environment with an ambient temperature range of –53 ⁰C to +25 ⁰C

Transport to this inhospitable part of Russia is difficult and the modular design of our package enabling the compressors to be easily dismantled for shipment by rail helped Roots secure this order.
